Backsplash options have come a long way in the past few years. Do you know all the options available for your kitchen and style? With so many options it can be hard to pin down the one for you. Let’s take an overview look of the materials.
Tile
The most popular is your basic tile. It can be ceramic, porcelain, glass, quarry, or natural stone. It also comes in different shapes, sizes, and price points, You can have the cheapest options to the most expensive with tiles. Tiles are a very diverse option bit you will have grout lines with any tile material you choose.
Slab
While tile backsplashes still remain the most popular, slabs are rising in demand. Slab backsplashes usually match the countertop to create a seamless look. They are also very easy to clean and maintain because they have minimal cut lines. Unlike some tile options, you will need the slab to be professionally installed.
Peel-and-Stick
A low effort, easy to install option is a peel-and-stick tile. They already have adhesive on the bask so you can apply the sheet directly to the wall. The material will not last as long as any other option. It is also not as durable.
Glass, Wood, and Brick
Glass, wood, and brick are unique materials that, when done right, look amazing. Wood and brick are more difficult to clean so be careful if you are a messy cook with the materials. Glass is easy to wipe down but if you break/crack the glass, you will have to replace the entire piece for it to look the same.
