BUILT-IN TUBS Corner tubs are designed to set off a room. Whether specially designed, or a standard drop-in tub built into an angled deck in the corner, they are usually installed without integrated showers. They can be made to stand alone, or to fitted into the room, abutting vanities and other cabinets.
However, while they do simplify the job of cleaning the floor, the far reaches of a corner tub deck are impossible to clean without getting into the tub.
Corner baths can have drains on either side or in the middle, and some models are not suitable for an overhead shower.
Designed for two person bathing, Kohler's 6' Symbio corner tub (shown at the right) can fit together to form a combination unit with a separate shower receptor at one end, or may be installed alone. More:
